Candi Carrera is a Luxembourg street and urban photographer born in Differdange, Luxembourg in 1972. He late-started photography in 2011 during a first trip to Denver, Colorado. He uses Luxembourg, as a home base in between assignments. He likes street photography (in particular coloured street photography) as it allows to capture vanishing moments who may give during that specific split second a particular story, interaction, composition or emotion.

The inspiration comes mainly from photographers like Todd Hido and William Eggleston. Other influences are National Geographic photographer Aaron Huey, Magnum photographer Paolo Pellegrin, Magnum photographer Harry Gruyaert, National Geographic photographer Steve McCurry. Candi has been a founding member of the Street Photography Luxembourg collective of streetphotographers until 2015.
